ITL News Release
ITM Liner™ Patent Announcement
ITL has applied for and given a patent application for its ITM Liner™ product methodology.
The ITM Liner™ is laser bonded multiple geofabric and geomembrane materials to make one strong, resilient, flexible and impervious sheet. The layers have specific purposes and material properties to achieve design outcomes;
- Top layer is a geofabric saturating coat. When saturated with the ITM Membrane, it will provide a UV tolerant and waterproof membrane layer.
- The middle layer is an impervious polyethylene material, with the thickness specified to meet design criteria
- The base is a geo-fabric layer that can be specified to meet stratum and environmental conditions
The ITM Membrane is an easy to apply latex/ acrylic co-polymer incorporating special reinforcing fibres. When fully cured, it forms an impervious, flexible UV tolerant and aesthetically pleasing waterproofing membrane.
The ITM Membrane is non-toxic and formulated specifically for domestic supply, irrigation and aquaculture, being certified for potable water – AS/NZ 4020. Additional membranes are available for hazardous and non-hazardous lining applications.
Where the ITM Liner™ is exposed, it is required to be completely covered by the ITM Membrane for UV protection. Where the liner is buried, all joins to be sealed to create a waterproof layer between joined sections.
The patent was researched, developed and filed by Spruson & Ferguson, Patent & Trademark Attorneys, Sydney Australia for ITL.
